Task/Position Title: Family Partner

This is an ongoing position, requiring a minimum commitment of indefinite duration.
Time commitment of several hours at first, then check in monthly.
Volunteer age range: 30’s to 60’s.
This is a group project, good for families, teams and groups of employees.

Volunteer Job Description
Mentor, to what degree is needed, families selected to become Habitat Homeowners from the time they are selected to the time they receive the keys to their homes.

Skills/abilities desired
A willingness to work with the family, to answer questions and be available to them.

Volunteer Job Description
Provide therapy dog visits to area nursing homes, hospitals & rehab centers. Also provide visits to schools & libraries for therapy dog assisted reading and literacy programs.

Skills/abilities desired
Be a handler with a dog registered by a nationally recognized therapy dog program OR a handler & dog willing to become registered by such an organization.
