The Montrose community is rich with nonprofit organizations. There are more than 250 nonprofits serving the various needs in our community. The Montrose Community Foundation wishes to thank those of you who dedicate your time and efforts to bettering our community. You have our sincere thanks and appreciation!
Nonprofit Before Hours
Nonprofits in the community have long asked for a central location to share information and network. The Foundation in partnership with the Montrose Library is pleased to have initiated “Nonprofit Before Hours”. These events are open to the community. If you would like to support the nonprofit community or invite others to see what your nonprofit does, please contact the Foundation and inquire about hosting an upcoming event.
Community Service Recognition Awards
You are invited and encouraged to submit a nomination to recognize an individual in our community for their volunteer service. All nominees receive a letter of thanks from the Foundation. Quarterly winners receive a special recognition while the annual winner receives a $1000 grant check to the nonprofit organization of their choice. Committed to Capacity Building
The Montrose Community Foundation has joined forces with the Montrose Library, Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley, Western Colorado Community Foundation, and the Colorado Resource Center (CRC) to provide quality educational sessions for area nonprofit organizations. These three hour sessions that follow the Colorado Nonprofit Association’s Best Practices are offered quarterly at four locations in the service area.
