Training and Resources

The Board of Directors of the Montrose Community Foundation is committed to providing periodic training and workshops for area nonprofits in collaboration with the Montrose Regional Library District.

Through 2009, the Foundation co-sponsored capacity building workshops for area nonprofits in the areas of:

  • Donor-Based Fundraising Strategies
  • Common Grant Application Preparation
  • Survival Strategies for the Current Economic Environment
  • Board Development
  • Sustainability Planning
  • Growing Your Support Base
  • Maximizing Year-End Giving

Upcoming workshops, part of the “Brown Bag Series”, are held from 12:00-1:30 p.m. through the year at the Montrose Library.  Participants are encouraged to bring their lunch and a desire to grow their organizations in positive ways.  These workshops are funded through the generosity of our community and are offered free-of-charge to those who attend.  If you would like to receive email notification of workshops as they are announced, please submit your nonprofit’s information through this site.

Let us hear from you . . . .

As always, we welcome your input.  Please e-mail the Executive Director of the Foundation, Melanie Hall,  at montrosecommunityfoundation@gmail.com with ideas for future training or suggestions on how the Foundation might serve you best.
